Send us your flow.

The flow rate, the sector and what you are treating is enough for a first honest answer.

Send us your flow

Tell us the number and we will tell you if it works.

Three facts are enough to start. We come back with whether plasma fits your flow and what it would take. If it does not fit, we say so.

Where we are

Pralormo, Piemonte, Italy

Frazione Bagatto, via Poirino 33/a, 10040 Pralormo, in the province of Turin. PURA is an Italian company, founded in Ostuni, and we design and manufacture our own machines, at both laboratory and industrial scale.

Thank you. Your flow is with us at eco@pura.eco. A person reads it and replies from that address.

What to send

Three facts, and we can start.

You do not need a specification or a drawing. A rough figure and a plain description are enough for a first answer. The more of the third item you know, the more precise the reply.

The flow rate, in m³/h

This is the number that sizes everything. Our installed lines run from 1,000 to 140,000 m³/h, and the system is modular, so it is built to the flow you have. A figure off the fan plate or the permit is fine to begin with.

The sector, and what is in the air

Odour at the stack, or solvent VOCs from a paint line. This is also what decides which of the two systems you get, the indirect one for odour or the direct one for VOCs. The plasma parameters are adapted to the flow, so what is in the air matters as much as how much of it there is.

Your shutdown window, or your layout

Only if you know it. The system connects to the ductwork you already have, which is why it is described as plug and play. Tell us when the line can stop and where the duct runs, and the reply can carry a schedule.

What the reply contains

The first thing we check is where your figure sits against the lines we have already built. A figure outside that range is a sizing question.

Then it describes what would go on your site, and which of the two systems fits it. For odour, the indirect system: a cabinet-sized reactor beside the duct, not a plant. It draws in clean external air through a modest intake duct and passes it through the non-thermal plasma reactor, where the air becomes plasma-activated. That activated air is injected at one point into your existing process duct, and the reaction runs along the duct you already have before the stack. For VOCs, the direct system: the plasma is generated inside the duct, in the flow itself, and the whole process flow passes through it. Either way the main duct stays where it is, and the treated air leaves the stack clean.

Finally it explains how the abatement holds. The plasma is fully adjustable, so it is tuned to the flow, the odour units or the VOC concentration, and retuned when those change, on both systems, so the setting follows the flow instead of being fixed at commissioning. Analysis at the inlet and at the outlet is what the figures are read from.

Before you write

Five things people ask first.

What happens after I write?

A person reads it, not a form handler. The first reply says whether your flow sits inside the range we have built before and what size of unit that implies. It also says what we need next, usually a drawing of the duct run or a date the line can stop. The form sends your message straight to eco@pura.eco.

Do you do site visits and pilot tests?

Ask us. Tailored consulting is part of what we offer, and PURA builds machinery at both laboratory and industrial scale. Tell us what you are treating and we will say what a test would involve.

The animation on the home page is generated. Is the technology conceptual?

No. More than twenty systems are deployed. The eight listed on this site with a stated flow treat 323,000 m³/h between them, the largest a paper mill at 140,000 m³/h. The installation photographs on this site are our own, taken where the machines work. The scroll animation is generated from photographs of our own reactor and ductwork, and the footer of every page says so.

My flow is above 140,000 m³/h. Is that a problem?

Not on its own. 140,000 m³/h is the largest line we have installed so far. A larger figure changes the sizing.

I am treating something other than odour, VOCs, bacteria or mould.

Tell us anyway. Odour and VOCs are what the system was developed to abate, and the same reactive species act on bacteria and mould. If what is in your air falls outside that, we would rather say plasma is the wrong tool than sell you one.
